How do I watch a live class?
Links to all live classes can be found on the Live Classes page.
All classes are presented via Zoom Webinars, no audio/video will be used by attendees. For instructions on how to access Zoom, please see the Zoom support site.
How do I listen to a live class via my phone?
Live classes are also accessible via a phone call, instructions here (Zoom Phone Numbers).
How do I watch class recordings?
All class recordings are available on the Recordings page.
When will class recordings be available?
We hope to have all classes posted within 24 hours of the class finishing, but plan to upload ASAP after the class finishes.
Do I have to attend all the activities and classes?
The online nature of this bible school has allowed the committee to create an incredibly full schedule, and there is no expectation that participants will engage in every activity.
I work during the day, will the classes be recorded for me to view at a later date?
Classes will be recorded and be available for viewing on the Recordings page.
I am only available to participate for part of the 3 week program. Do I have to register to participate?
Participants register for the Bible School as a whole. Once registered, you will receive an email each Sunday with information on all the classes and activities for the upcoming week. You are able to connect to whatever fits your schedule for that week. You do not need to register for specific classes or activities.
Can I get calendar reminders imported to my personal iCal/Google/Outlook calendar? Will there be any other form of daily reminders?
Yes, you can connect classes to your calendar here. You can also visit our calendar page to view the upcoming scheduled classes/activities.
There will not be a daily reminder; please refer to the weekly email you receive each Sunday for information on the classes, or view the classes through the Live Classes page.
Is there an easy way to convert the time schedule to my local time zone?
Yes, there are many websites that provide timezone conversions. thetimezoneconverter.com is a good example. If you import the event into your google calendar it should automatically convert it for you.
Can families and friends watch and participate together or does everyone need their own computer and log in?
As many as you like can participate on one log in. It could be a great idea to participate with several members of your family and friends and watch together on a big screen TV. Each state and country has different requirements and guidelines for gathering in groups during COVID. Please abide by your local requirements.
Can I invite my friends to join the Online Bible School?
We welcome anybody to join who is interested in growing their faith and enhancing their understanding of God’s word.
Are teenagers allowed to attend any of the adult classes?
Anybody of any age is welcome to attend any of the adult classes.
What ages are welcome to join in the CYC activities?
Anyone who would normally attend their local CYC is welcome to attend the OCBS CYC events.
Will my face be shown if I sign in for a class?
All classes will be in a Zoom Webinar Format where participants cannot be seen or heard. There will be the ability to submit questions and comments to the teacher, through a Webinar Chat feature.
Some activities and Social Events, however, will be held using a Zoom Meeting where you can be seen and heard, unless you mute your computer microphone and turn off your camera.
