Spiritual Mind Control: Tools for Making Abstract Passages Practical

Do you ever read passages with instructions such as “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials?” (Jam. 1:2) or “Don’t be anxious about anything” (Phil 4:6) and think, “Okay, but how?” Do you ever wish you had the tools to apply some of what you read in the Bible more practically in your life, in the moment when you really need it? This series will look at several abstract passages that can sometimes seem out of reach, and examine some ways of making them real and usable in a hands-on way. Using what we know about the brain and behavior, we will examine some simple spiritual tools for allowing God to work more powerfully in our lives everyday.
